The benefit of talking therapies is now well established. You may have already discovered that there is power in sharing your thoughts and feelings with another person. Often people’s experience of this is with family and friends; but sometimes these listeners can try to make you feel ‘better’ because they don’t want to hear what you’re saying, or it makes them feel uncomfortable. If so, it may be time for you to talk to someone whose only agenda is to be of service to you.
