Andrea Franchini

I graduated from the University of Modena & Reggio Emilia, Italy, in Physiotherapy. I also graduated in Sport Science in the University of Parma, Italy & finally I studied Postural Osteopathy in Bologna & Reggio Emilia, Italy.

I moved to Australia for 2 years, where I worked in different clinics and I studied Dry Needles. My focus in healing the body through body manipulations (joints and soft tissues), massages and exercises (both during the clinic & as home assignments). Personally, I think that every person is different and it's the professional's duty to find how to best approach the patients problem and how to develop a treatment plan that is personal and aimed to the patient's lifestyle. As being healthy, is a complex but not difficult issue. We are coaxed with physical, emotional and spiritual energies that are deeply connected to each other. My objective is to find the balance in these levels and explain to my patients on how to look after them.

My long sport career helps me in my job as I've been practicing Martial Arts for over 25 years in different disciplines and in the last 5 years I have been focusing on the practice of Yoga, that I use to provide even more awareness for my patients.

Osteopath

Andrew Siyabalawatte

I graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in 2011. My experience as a registered Osteopath ranges from treating individuals with disabling conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease to chronic pain management, advising and treating patients at Finchley Road and Soho, Leicester Square.

I have treated actors and sports people alike. My treatment demeanour is very holistic; with particular interest towards the management and mechanical and neurological implications in sporting injury. The interest in sporting pathology spans from a wealth of sporting experience having played football for various professional football clubs as an adolescent. My education and sporting experiences have allowed me to truly understand mechanisms of injury, treatment protocols and comprehensive rehabilitation regimes for various injuries/pathologies.

Since I obtained my Masters in Osteopathy, I have continuously updated my knowledge and understanding of the biomechanics of the body and its capacity to heal itself following injury/sporting injury after treatment. This focus continually motivates me to develop my skills and knowledge for the benefit of my current and future patients. I am trained in modern acupuncture/dry needling and Naturopathy, and I am also an ITEC accredited Sports Massage Therapist.

I have been working as an Integrative Therapist/Counsellor since 2007. I qualified in 2008 with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, however, I also have a BSc in Psychology and Sociology. I am a member of BACP.

Between 2007 and 2010, I worked for the Wandsworth Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist. It was 2010 that I decided to work for myself and went into private Practice where I have been ever since. I work with a range of moderate mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationships and eating disorders to name but a few. So far I have accrued 7 years’ experience working as a counsellor, but I have over 15 years of experience working with a variety of vulnerable groups. This included working within the areas of mentoring; devising, delivering, facilitating and co-ordinating informal educational programmes; supporting and working with children, young adults and families.

To put it simply I am interested in people and this fascination is why I chose counselling and psychotherapy as a profession. I enjoy experiencing new things and love to keep active.

Sophrologist

Brigitte Rinner

I discovered Sophrology in 1999 thanks to an article in the French Lycée’s newsletter. A sentence caught my attention: “You cannot always change the events in your life but you can change the way you deal with them.” As a mother of 3 young children at the time, I was finding the beginning of the school year particularly challenging. I contacted the then-only Sophrologist in London, who taught me exercises to cope better with stress and difficulties.

Practising Sophrology actually gave me even more - it made me aware that my life would be more balanced if I went back to work. Since going back to the business world - my former milieu - was not something I really contemplated, I decided to train as a Sophrologist. I’ve been teaching Sophrology since 2004 to children, young people and adults, in groups or as individuals, enjoying it every single day.

I am a Physiotherapist from Romania, where I graduated from the University of Pharmacy & Medicine Craiova, Romania in 2011 with A BSc in Physiotherapy. I am currently in my 2nd year of studying a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Neuromotor Rehabilitation.

I have been practising Massage Therapy since I graduated. I always try to find the best solution in making people feel better than they were at the beginning. I also was a volunteer at one of the city’s hospitals in the Rehab unit where I have worked with a variety of conditions including: Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal, Geriatric & Stroke cases.

A beautiful part of my life was working at city’s woman handball 1st team competition year where I was part of the team including a doctor and a nurse to make sure we give the best treatment to the girls. The most acute injuries were sprains with Knee ankle and fingers being the most affected part of the body. I also assisted the team by giving them first aid.

Finally I always like to listen my client concerns and talk during treatment, give them enough information and try my best to respond to the injuries.

Danilo Batista

Ever since an early age I have had an interest in natural health care and I’ve been practising yoga for years. However, it was only when I was working at a desk job for the local council, over 11 years ago, when my professional life took an exciting turn and I decided to dedicate myself to the study of the Mind & Body.

I began by studying Sports Injuries and Therapeutic Massage and later travelled to London to learn Zen Shiatsu. It was during this time that I developed an interest in holistic healing and progressed to study Kinesiology and Nutritional Therapy. Currently, I am studying for a degree in Osteopathic Medicine, which I believe will strengthen the application of my knowledge in my daily practice.

Over the years I have found that being a natural health practitioner is in line with my warm personality, caring skills and a giving heart combined with a strong will to deliver wellness to others. In this journey I find my days are worthwhile and extremely rewarding.

I became a Reiki Therapist in 1999 after experiencing its healing power myself, when due to the auto immune disease called Rheumatoid Arthritis, I took medical retirement from office work after twenty five years. I passed the College of Psychic Studies’ Healing Course in 2001, and I run one of its Healing Clinics. I was also a volunteer home visitor / healer with Paul’s Cancer Support Centre for many years.

I love healing and feel honoured and grateful to be used as a channel for Spirit, who often gives me helpful insights into the client’s life and feelings. I have also trained in Atlantean Healing and The Healing Code. When not healing, I love the usual things such as travel, theatre, and people who help me to laugh, appreciate and enjoy our precious life.

My quest for good health and a deeper understanding of the self made me change my tracks from the corporate field and led me onto the wonderful journey of healing. Besides being formally educated with a Masters in Psychology and one in Health Service Management, I am formally educated in Integrated Clinical Hypnotherapy, Acupuncture, Crystal and Energy Healing. I keenly research and apply various new healing techniques in my day to day life - Divination and Ayurveda, being my forte. My book on Ayurvedic food (Karmaa Kitchen) is one such outcome of my interests.

Every solution I offer my clients is unique in approach, yet rooted in ancient healing methods and traditions. My goal is to make my clients aware of themselves by educating them about healing, thus making them self reliant and helping them to recognise and honour their own potential.

After 11 years of a successful business and real estate career in corporate America, constant stress and personal emotional traumas, I felt tired, unfulfilled and ready for a change. Turning to alternative solutions to busy lifestyle, I started regular yoga and meditation practice in 2009, and in 2012 I devoted all my focus and energy on personal development alone. I moved to California and started learning and practicing different alternative therapy techniques like Reiki, Energy & Prana Healing, Acupresure, Reflexology, Ayurveda, NLP, EFT, Life Coaching and many other natural modalities including healing with sound, vibration, mantras, colors, crystals etc.

I healed myself and understood that overall wellness depends on the balance between body, mind and soul, and it is the solution to letting go of all physical, emotional and mental pain. In my work I encourage people to find that balance and successfully deal with stress, fatigue, sleeping problems, anxiety, lack of focus, mood swings, depression, tiredness, physical and emotional blockages and pain, different life changes, personal growth and self-development challenges, relationship difficulties, feeling confused and lost etc.

I speak English, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian and conversational Spanish and Russian. I worked with many different people in many different countries and understand cultural and behavioural differences and challenges.

Silvia Roccato

I am a certified Physiotherapist and graduated at the prestigious University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, in 2011. My belief in providing patient-centred, individualized care drove me to strengthen my skills on patient assessment and careful treatment planning. Always up to date and keen to improve my knowledge, I attend several courses in Manual Therapy and Functional Rehabilitation of both children and adults.

My interest is set on the treatment of a huge variety of conditions - general pain, sport injuries, age related conditions and orthopaedics disorders, as well as developmental neurological conditions in new-borns and toddlers, using a hands-on approach in conjunction with specific modalities as needed.

In the last years, I have developed a deep interest in Yoga and I practice Ashtanga Yoga for my personal wellbeing. Hence, I decided to spend a considerable period of time in Auroville, India, studying and practising daily with Monica Marinoni, a renowned certified teacher from KPJAYI in Mysore, India, and direct pupil of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This experience allowed me to expand my knowledge of human locomotion and to have a deeper understanding of the inner body awareness, realizing the strong holistic connection between anatomy, movement and emotions. Hence I like to couple my hands-on and yoga knowledge in order to give a holistic high quality assistance to my patients.
